We were thoroughly impressed by the speed and quality of the kitchen. Despite a full house, our appetizers arrived quickly, followed by beautifully cooked entrees. The staff remained calm, friendly, and attentive the whole time. A fantastic dining experience.

Such a pleasant and seamless experience. We were seated immediately, our water glasses were continuously topped up, and the food arrived hot and fresh. The seasonings were spot on, avoiding the excessive salt or oil common elsewhere. We will return soon.

I recently went for happy hour! Not the best HH in terms of pricing... but the food and drinks were REALLY good. Service was also great. Highly recommend the deviled eggs and crawfish empanadas.

The valet guy was rude and on his phone. Said he could not take our car because it was a tesla. Teslas have valet mode….. Food was mid for the price you pay. Ive had better food for half the price in other high end restaurants. Not worth it.

This was an absolutely amazing experience. We went for our 10 year anniversary. The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special evening.

I had high expectations for Potente, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. The octopus came cut into tiny pieces, was dry, and completely lacked flavor. We also ordered the salmon and the sea bass, and both were very basic. There was nothing memorable about either dish—I honestly could have made something similar at home. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, we also tried the layered cake, but it wasn’t good either and ended the meal on another disappointing note. The service was fine, but for the prices and reputation, I expected much better food. Sadly, this wasn’t worth the cost, and I won’t be coming back.

Last night my family and I had dinner at Potente before a show at Jones Hall. The food was excellent as was the service. My daughter, (9yo), couldn’t get over the shrimp bisque. It really was outstanding. The wagyu carpaccio and grilled octopus starters were perfection and the pasta with fresh truffle shavings was absolutely decadent. We can’t wait to return to Potente soon! It is a rare joy to dine at a restaurant where 'fantastic' is the baseline for every single dish. Chef Danny creates something memorable. From the first course to the final bite, this was a masterclass in culinary balance. Every dish felt intentional, featuring incredibly fresh ingredients that were elevated by a brilliant play of textures. The flavors don't just sit on the palate; they burst and evolve. It is rare to find a kitchen that maintains this level of consistency across an entire menu. In my opinion, it’s only a matter of time before the Michelin inspectors take notice. Truly an elite experience. A special thanks to Juan who kept our glasses filled w water, Emily who balanced her role as bar tender and waitress, Andrea & his fellow Somelier( didnt catch his name, young Hispanic gentleman) who recommended a beautiful bottle of wine that paired with our meal. And of course Chef Danny!

Potente is next level, food, service, and a quiet atmosphere to truly enjoy your meal. I’ve been several times and it always impresses me. The spaghetti is a must. The tequila flight is truly divine. Don’t sleep on this place. Special occasion or just an enjoyable dinner it’s worth the trip. You won’t ever forget this dining experience.

Came here for our anniversary, wanting great food and a romantic atmosphere. This place did not disappoint. Service was smooth and friendly from start to finish. The food came out fast and everything was amazing. This isn’t a cheap place, but it was 100% worth the splurge. Definitely a place I would come back to and recommend.

Came here with my wife to celebrate Valentine's a little early, and we would highly recommend! All of the food was excellent. The truffle fries came out well-salted, crisp, and piping hot and you could actually taste truffle. The truffle pasta was well-seasoned, and cooked to just the right texture. My wife got the scallops and they had an excellent sear on them. I got the beef rib with risotto which was incredibly tender. Everything here was well-seasoned and came out hot and fresh, something that we really appreciate. I didn't get our server's name, but he had great recommendations and was very attentive. They also have a happy hour menu which is nice, because it is fairly pricey.

All of the food was incredible, except for the ravioli - which was surprisingly dissapointing. Our group ordered: Carpaccio app - excellent Octopus app - 2 people absolutely loved, 2 people didn't Caesar salad - great Spaghetti al tarfuro, add scallop - incredible! Ravioli - none of us like this. The sauce tasted legitimately like a can of chunky beef vegetable soup poured on top of one giant ravioli. We were expecting something more delicate and flavorful. The service is impecible, but rather intimidating and overly structured with an excess of formalities. I'm sure many people enjoy the curated dining experience with lots of formalities, but it left little flexibility for us to format the dining experience how we wanted it to be. While it's nice in some aspects, it's also a bit of a dual edged sword. The atmosphere is nice, but they sat us directly next to the only 8 person table eating where there were plenty of other tables open.

I can’t believe this was my first time dining at Potente—it felt like I’ve been missing out. We celebrated my birthday a bit early since we’ll be traveling on the actual day, and it was the perfect choice. With an early reservation to catch The Nutcracker afterward, everything from valet to dessert was seamless and memorable. The service was impeccable. Every staff member we encountered made us feel like we were the only guests in the restaurant—impressive. We began with the Granchino, a jumbo lump crab crêpe that was absolutely delicious. For our entrées, my husband and daughter loved the Filetto Di Manzo, while I thoroughly enjoyed the Branzino. We finished with the Sfera Dolce for dessert, which was nothing short of fantastic. Potente has earned a spot on my list for birthdays, special occasions, or just an exceptional meal. I’m already looking forward to going back!

First off I will say the waiter that was serving us was the best I had in a while, my food was great steak, quail eggs and duck liver chef did well with that. My wife food she didn’t like the way the duck tasted and the chicken was a little off she wasn’t pleased. The drinks were great mojito I was here from my birthday and I will return to try another dish for my wife it’s a no go it a wrap. Our bill came up to $350.00 which is fine I would say it was worth it.

Beautiful place. Food is pricey but it’s really fresh and delicious with high quality ingredients. The crab nachos (ask for them even during dinner service- they may accommodate) were absolutely insanely delicious!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary. We enjoyed it so much, the staff was great, Maria did an amazing job explaining the dishes to us and so did Ronaldo. The food was great and had a distinct favorable taste! After our dinner we went to the bar section. I had the mango margarita and it was good as well. The restrooms are super clean and impecable.
