⭐ 1 Star I had an extremely disappointing experience at Poison Girl. I attempted to enter the establishment with my legitimate service dog, who was clearly wearing a service-animal vest. I also showed the man at the door my dog’s service-animal license, yet he still refused to allow us inside. What made the situation even worse was his attitude. He was extremely rude, confrontational, and dismissive, and showed absolutely no interest in understanding the situation or the laws regarding service animals. Under Texas Human Resources Code §121.003, a person with a disability cannot be denied admission to a public facility because of their disability or denied the use of an assistance animal. Federal ADA protections also generally require businesses open to the public, including bars, to allow service animals in areas where customers are permitted. I explained that my dog was a service animal, my dog was clearly identified with a service vest, and I even showed him documentation for my dog. Despite all of that, he still refused to allow us inside. Businesses can certainly have legitimate rules concerning the behavior and control of service animals, but refusing entry to someone accompanied by a service animal is a completely different matter. The way I was treated was completely unacceptable. I hope management takes the time to properly educate their employees about Texas and federal service-animal access requirements so that other people with disabilities aren't treated this way. If Google allowed negative stars, I would give this experience -5 stars.

Had an extremely frustrating experience at Poison Girl on Tuesday, 9/22/2026, around 9:30 PM. I was there with my boyfriend and my sister, and the bartender working that night was an older white man who was incredibly rude and demeaning toward my boyfriend throughout the evening. Every time my boyfriend went up to order another drink, the bartender would rudely ask if we had a tab open, even though there were barely any other customers there. At one point, my boyfriend simply said “excuse me,” and the bartender responded by slowly and loudly repeating the question about whether we had a tab open in a way that felt completely disrespectful and unnecessary. The worst part came when we went to close out. The bartender told my boyfriend that the tab had already been closed and that he did not have his card. This made absolutely no sense because we had JUST gone up to close out. Instead of taking responsibility or urgently trying to figure out where the card went, he immediately started suggesting that either I or my sister might have it. Neither of us had the card, and we were completely sober and knew exactly what had happened. We asked him to check his pockets, and instead of simply checking, he proceeded to lecture us about how he believed we actually didn't have the card. What made the situation even more frustrating was that he then went back to attending to other customers and essentially ignored us for a while, despite the fact that we were standing there trying to figure out where someone's payment card had gone. He didn't seem to have any sense of urgency about finding it or figuring out who had it. When we brought up checking his pockets again, he still didn't properly check them and continued with his speech. We were patient and understanding throughout the situation, but his attitude and complete lack of urgency were honestly shocking. Losing a customer's card is serious enough, but the way he handled it made the situation so much worse. He then told us that he would void the order at the end of the night because of the inconvenience. He did NOT do that. My boyfriend had to go back the next day to make sure it was actually taken care of. Another employee checked and confirmed that the bartender had never voided it. So after all of this, my boyfriend still had to deal with canceling the card and ordering a replacement. Mistakes happen, but being dismissive, blaming the customers, ignoring us while we were trying to locate a missing card, failing to properly look for it, and then saying you will fix the charge when you don't actually do it is completely unacceptable. If you go to Poison Girl, I would be very careful about keeping track of your card and your tab. I personally would not trust this bartender to handle either responsibly.

This dive cocktail bar has a very local feel with really cool energy. They also have a large selection of pinball machines, new and classic. The cocktails were also very nice and the bartender was even able to make some mocktails that were not just a mix of fruit juice

Whiskey lovers should be packing this place out every night, the selection is that good. It's not "Do you have any High West?". It's "What High West should I have today?". Fun atmosphere where you can meet others or keep to yourself over a pinball game.

Extremely chill dive bar vibe with indoor and outdoor seating options. My draft IPA was $7 and I'd definitely swing around for the happy hour on the weekend (3-7pm daily). They have some pinball machines inside.

The bartender was very attentive. They have happy hour everyday from 3-7 pm on $4 well drinks. They also have great prices on cocktails as well. Now my favorite shot is the one they offer here called the Up-down. A jagermeister with cold brew 🤤

Eccentric divebar with a fabulous whiskey menu! The service is clinical if you aren't a regular which is to be expected. Great place to chill with your friends over rounds of well priced whiskey and beer! Would highly recommend if you're into something less common.
