You are here for the sushi and stick with it. The jalapeño yellowtail was as good as sushi gets (which unfortunately I am not a good judge 8/10 max) but dinner ended poorly with the teriyaki chicken. My meal prep chicken is less dry and more flavorful. And the mochi ice cream taste like every it everything in the grocery store.

Went to nobu for my anniversary, worked in sushi for a long time, and was excited to try this for the first time as nobu is known to be "amazing." It was pretty mid. The food is okay but nothing too special. Especially for the price point its at, its not anything crazy. This is more of like experience it once and never look back. I mean what keeps a guest wanting to come back is the experience but ours was like bad. I mean our server looked like he didnt want to be there nor want to take us as guests and by the end of it we never saw him, so was it even worth tipping? I mean like for a high end place like this that is michelin star, dont you expect your service to be michelin star worth? I mean i feel like i was pretty much robbed because of this experience and I'm not sure if its because this is a chain restaurant around the world and they just didnt really care about this place as much, but like there are way better sushi spots in Houston worth trying and you'll actually get your moneys worth of food and service. what an experience.

Had a great time there last week. I recommend sitting at the sushi bar. Our service was amazing, the food was great and very good quality, and the drinks were also excellent. Looking forward to going back and trying more things!

We decided to try Nobu Houston during Houston Restaurant Weeks after hearing great things and realizing we'd never been before. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the reputation. Right away, it was obvious the restaurant was dealing with A/C issues, as there were portable units set up throughout the dining room. That's understandable during a Houston summer, so while not ideal, I can overlook that. What was much harder to overlook was the condition of the restroom. There were no paper towels available to dry your hands, one of the stalls was out of order, and there was toilet paper scattered all over the floor. For a restaurant operating at Nobu's price point, the restroom felt surprisingly neglected. Service was also disappointing. The biggest issue came when we tried to order from the HRW menu. Our party had four people, three of whom wanted to order the HRW menu while the fourth wanted to order the omakase. The server told us that if one person ordered HRW, everyone at the table had to do it. That made little sense to us, especially when the omakase option was significantly more expensive. The HRW menu isn't all-you-can-eat, and the portions are smaller by design, so restricting a guest from ordering a higher-priced option seemed odd. This led to several minutes of confusion at the table as everyone tried to understand the policy being explained. To add to the confusion, the server suggested that we order different HRW entrées and share so we could sample more of the menu between the couples. However, one of the selections was the sushi assortment, which came with a single piece of each nigiri. I'm not sure how two people are supposed to share that. Had that been explained more clearly, we likely would have ordered differently. Throughout the meal, service felt inattentive. Water glasses went unfilled for long stretches and were not refilled until after our checks had already been handled. Overall, for a table that spent over $500, we expected a much more polished experience. The food was good, but between the restroom conditions, confusing service, and lack of attention to basic details, our first visit to Nobu Houston was underwhelming.

First time back in about a year and had an even better experience than before! The servers were very attentive without being overbearing and made great recommendations even though myself and my wife gave different palettes. I tried their newer items like Salmon Jalapeño and the sushi chefs made special nigiri based on what I liked. Definitely let the server take control, they made our experience amazing!

Came on a weekday and had a lovely experience. I was told i had to try some of their classics since it was my first time. Great choices! Yellowtail jalapeno and black cod were great but so was the toro carpaccio! Im excited to return and try other dishes.

Sat at the sushi bar and had a great time! My sushi chef was amazing. Overall had a good time and the food was amazing. My sashimi was great the tai dry miso is amazing. I also had the black miso cod and it was so delicious!
