This place was so nice to explore. You definitely need to read the signs to not get lost. I found so many amazing picture opportunities. The garden entrance is on the west side. This place is worth exploring. I saw bunnies and wild birds and a turtle. I’ve included the pictures for you to check out!

Mercer Botanic Gardens gave us such a beautiful setting for this quinceañera session. The natural light, peaceful pathways, and greenery throughout the gardens created a timeless atmosphere that made every portrait feel elegant and authentic.

We always enjoy working in locations that allow moments to unfold naturally, and Mercer is definitely one of those places around Houston that photographs beautifully during golden hour. From soft candid moments to more cinematic portraits, the scenery helped bring everything together in a very organic way.

A lovely place for creating meaningful memories and celebrating such a special milestone.

Mother's Day became extra special with multiple families gathering to explore the beautiful, tranquil Mercer Botanical Gardens. For many of us this first time trip to spend a few hot Texas hours with children seeing the koi pond, native Texas trees, plants, and flowers was well worth the time and the heat. There are benches throughout and being in nature with butterflies, a tree frog perched on a bench, and beautiful kept walkways was a delightful time. Highly recommend. Thanks to those that make this lovely space available to the community.

A beautiful place for a stroll. The scenery is amazing and maybe able to catch a live show. When we went, there was live play just beyond the entrance. Signs to lead the way. Going through the garden, wildlife is also there. Ran into a few lizards and was stopped somewhere near the Aztec fountain and a kid with his parents let us know that they ran into snake. We never saw it.

This place is absolutely stunning! I had no idea such a stunning gem was tucked away way up in Aldein. Absolutely worth the drive- come early for parking and give yourself a good amount of time! Bring a camera as well- there are so many beautiful photo ops that you want to take advantage of!

The park is on either side of Aldein Westfiels with the Botanical Gardens on one side and the walking paths on the other. We explored the Botanical Gardens and spent 3 hours there and still did not see everything!

The most interesting thing I learned is that Mercer is one of 39 leading institutes in the US that propogates and preserves endangered plants. They have a garden just for these plants- it's a very lovely walk.

There are water features, a fairy garden, an edible garden, tropical garden.... So many more, but you need to see yourself!

Mercer is such a beautiful and peaceful place. Each time I go they have something new. I didn’t take many photos this time but they have a nice fairy garden area that’s been added since my last visit where you can take or leave an inspirational rock. There’s a small lake with tons of turtles and so many different plants and flowers. I love how they are clearly labeled as well. When we were leaving there was a man playing a keyboard at the entrance. There are also tons of benches and some swings where you can sit and w enjoy nature but still be close to the city. It’s also free! It is not close to me but while I was in the area it was worth the stop for sure. I will make a point to come back in the spring when more things are blooming.

Beautiful, peaceful, and nostalgic. It's quite changed since I remember visiting 2 decades ago regularly as a child. It makes me so happy to see the expansion, curation, and focus on conservation/preservation, and education. Free!

This is Probably my favorite place in Houston. Every time I come here, I feel peace and solace. The garden is magnificent and perfectly manicured. If you are in need of a place to soothe your soul and calm your mind, come here and walk around it with a loved one. I take my 84 yr old mom here Every time I come to Houston. It makes her so happy as well.

Really enjoyed the variety of plants, flowers, herbs and vegetables. Very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. Besides the garden there were also trails but I did not explore any of them. Can't wait to return in the spring to more flowers in bloom.

Significantly Smaller than the Houston Botanical Garden, but still worth a visit. It’s really a lovely place, with an established walking path and beautiful foliage. But what I actually enjoyed most was the large wraparound porch of the visitor center with the rocking chairs and array of seating. Sat there and chatted for hours while visiting.

A very beautiful place to visit. A lot of various plants to see. Under construction and can't wait to see it when it's completed. Would recommend anyone to stop by. Just remember sunblock and/or hat. There's not that much shade. I wish I came in the spring!
