First time at Main Street to see the Woman in Black. I thoroughly enjoyed myself--it's a small, intimate theatre and the show was great.
There was also a Pride Night Cabaret going on in the lobby beforehand. I wasn't expecting it, but certainly am not complaining!

Absolutely delightful theater that offers an experience unlike any other! Located in Rice Village, it is easy to get to and find. Rice Village is busy, so include 10-15 minutes to park, possibly pay for parking, and a short walk to the theater.

Beverages, including beer, wine, cocktails, water, and soda are available super inexpensive and allowed in the theater. They sell small snacks too, and smartly don’t allow food in the theater area.

The theater is so quaint and intimate! There are three rows of about 10 seats each on three sides of the stage, with the first row nearly on the stage!

We saw Taking Steps, and all the actors were simply amazing! You’re so close, it’s almost like you are with the characters!

Overall fantastic, we’ll be back, and be sure to donate to their “tip jar” near concessions.

Amazing show and well-run theater. The staff there were so professional. Everything went to make it a very enjoyable evening. I lost an earring that night, but when I called to see if it was at the theater, not only had they found it and safeguarded, but even offered to mail it to me! Faith in humanity restored! Thank you again to all the staff for an incredible evening. Please don't ever stop bringing fabulous works to us, your grateful audience.

We visited this theater recently for a performance of Giorgiana and Kitty - Christmas at Pemberley, which is a play based on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. It was an excellent performance by a top notch cast.

This theater is very small. We counted about 100 seats. It's only 2-3 rows on 3 sides and the front row is literally right up against the stage, which is at ground level (not raised). So it feels like you are almost part of the story. It's an immersive experience. There were moments in the play where I felt like taking a picture, not because I was watching a play, but because I felt like I should capture the moment. Then I realized, wait, it's not real. That trick is a combination of the incredible performance and the stage format.

All in all this was an amazing evening. I felt like I knew the characters personally, and the show was humorous, emotional, and entertaining. You know a cast is very good when you can see their faces from 6 feet away and can see every bit of every expression, and still feel their performance is completely convincing.

The theatre was clean and cozy. Staff were friendly and informative.

Went for an evening reading. Actors were good, but I left at intermission as I couldn't take another profanity-laced conversation. The plot was interesting.

The emotion exhibited was powerful, but the author could have used her thesaurus and made it more palatable for a wider audience.

Main Street Theater, I would be happy to come back to see one of your productions!
