What makes it fun

Jantra is an intimate, eight seat tasting counter from James Beard Award winning chef Benchawan “Chef G” Jabthong Painter and her husband, Graham. Rather than sticking to one cuisine, Jantra offers an imaginative eight- to 12-course tasting menu inspired by global flavors, seasonal ingredients, travel, and Chef G’s creativity, with optional wine and cocktail pairings. The dreamy, moon inspired setting and interactive, chef-driven experience make it feel more like an exclusive dinner party than a traditional restaurant.

Chef G and Graham are a dynamic force that have so much fun with shockingly outstanding food! When Chef G is cooking, you can't go wrong. The dinner is a fantastic value for the money too, I'm still thinking about how good everything was from the lamb, to wagyu, and desserts. And the burrata starter... I could go on and on! This is a world-class tasting menu, and I've tried many menus from michelin 1-3 stars. This was my favorite.

Chef G and Graham set the table for an amazing experience. Everyone else is creating a speakeasy bar, they just stepped on out and created the decadant private restaurant version. Very intimate and grateful to watch and chat with Chef G throughout and meet new friends who are also true fans of her creations. Graham raises the bar on every dish with a delicious pairing you likely have not had the fortune to be exposed to drink or purchase before. I can't tell you how many empty glasses were on the table by meals end. And everyone ate every bite on their plate. Everyone leaves wishing to stay, and certainly to return.

We went to Jantra for our friend's birthday dinner and had a fantastic experience from the moment we stepped in. We've dined with Chef Benchawan and Graham at Street To Kitchen since they were at the original location next to a gas station and always been big fans of their Thai food. Jantra is a completely different culinary experience and is chef's tasting set menu that is different than Street To Kitchen, but equally as great. Service was impeccable from start to finish with Chef Benchawan walking us through each dish and the inspiration behind it while her husband, Graham, did a fantastic job guiding us through the wine pairing that os optional for those who wishes to have that. Highly recommended chef's tasting experience.

We came to experience the tasting menu at Jantra, and it was absolutely wonderful.

The atmosphere is beautiful, intimate, and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a special evening. Every course was thoughtfully prepared, with incredible flavors and stunning presentation. You can tell a lot of care and creativity goes into each dish.

One of the things I loved most was that Chef G came out to introduce some of the courses and share the inspiration behind them. It added a personal touch that made the experience feel even more special. We were also treated to a few tastings along the way, which made the evening even more memorable.

This is much more than just dinner. It’s a unique culinary experience where every detail is carefully considered. I left impressed, inspired, and already looking forward to coming back.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for an exceptional tasting menu and a truly special night out.

Out of this world food journey. I have been to many chefs table dinners and this one truly stands out. The wine pairing is definitely worth it, don’t sleep on adding that. They were all great but the Hungarian dry wine and the reserve brut champagne were super unique and perfectly paired with the food. Also the gazpacho martini is a must!!
