Updated from 3 to 4 stars; within an hour after posting the review they reached out directly for more feedback.

Great location by the parks, and the rooms and room service were great.
The valet (managers maybe) were awful and rude, but the runners were nice. The concierge desk was confused and also rude both in person and over the phone.
The restaurant/bar situation was odd; it is far too loud to have a nice dinner (indoors) with the loud bar right next to you. Better to walk down the street to Grangers.

Overall, likely wont be back. Even with the location, the service wasn’t worth the pain.

I’ve heard so much about the famous Hotel Zaza, so I finally decided to do a brunch date at the restaurant. Monarch is absolutely beautiful. The aesthetic, layout, and atmosphere is stunning!!! Valet was extremely nice, and the food was to die for. I ordered the lamb chops. I was a little taken back by the restaurant service. It took a minute for the host to arrive at the host stand, and our server Cory was super kind but seemed very distracted. Maybe they were short handed that day? He didn’t visit our table too many times, and quickly asked us if we would like to charge our room or card mid way through our meal. We felt rushed. Other than that, everything was outstanding. I definitely would recommend the food to anyone!

Truly a unique stay in all of Houston!

The Zaza is close to everything - Rice, the Medical Center, the Museum District, Hermann Park, midtown, and downtown. It has upscale appointments, an excellent bar/restaurant for business meetings, and well-equipped events spaces.

What really stands out about the Zaza, though, is it's style! Every room is uniquely decorated with pictures of celebrities from film and stage. Staying here always feels like stepping into the golden age of Hollywood - and each stay in each room is unique.

On top of it all, their staff goes above and beyond to make you feel like the most important guest in the world. 5/5 would recommend!
