I came here for breakfast with my best friend after a Pilates class so we could relax and catch up. Unfortunately, our experience with our server, Eduardo, was extremely disappointing. Throughout our visit, he repeatedly brought us the check and asked if we were finished, making us feel rushed the entire time — and we hadn’t even been there for an hour.
Before leaving, we asked for two juices to-go, and once again he brought the check over for a third time. He then told my friend that there was a wait and that we needed to leave because he needed the table. I have honestly never been treated this way at an establishment before.
What makes this even more frustrating is that both my best friend and I work in the service industry ourselves, so we fully understand how important hospitality and professionalism are. The behavior was rude, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.
It’s unfortunate, because he also missed out on a very generous tip from two bartenders who always take care of service staff 2-3x over. Instead, due to how we were treated, he received no tip at all.
Management should seriously consider better etiquette and hospitality training for staff, especially when it comes to how paying guests are spoken to and treated. Sadly, after this experience, we most likely will not be returning.
