Amaya Dance is led by Saloman Amaya, a salsa expert. At Amaya Dance, you and your sweetheart can spice things up on the dance floor by learning to dance the salsa together. Amaya Dance offers both group and private dance classes for you and your sweetheart. Once you've got the hang of salsa, you can join a boot camp style class to add other dance styles to your dance repertoire including bachata, cha-cha, and mambo.

Amazing attentive staff, deliciously authentic food....left credit card at restaurant and owner drove to my hotel to return to me....definitely will always be on my list when I travel to Houston.

It was my birthday dinner. I booked this dinner through OpenTable; it was my first and last time visiting this place. The waiter came to ask with a condescending tone what do we like to drink. I looked at him and said , we don’t have the menus. He left to get them and came back and stayed hovering over us, so I asked him if they had the Prisoner, and he immediately said this is an Italian restaurant and they carry a few California wine options. My husband pulled up their dessert menu online, and I chose one. So then I asked the waiter for the dessert menu. I looked for my choice and asked him about the pecan that should be in that particular dessert; he said the pictures online don't match their menu, in the same condescending manner. My husband told him it was straight from their website. At that moment, my husband decided we weren't ordering dessert and would leave after we paid the check. The manager showed up with his iPad and the menu. He defended the waiter until my eyes caught the same dessert I saw online, with the same description, which I pointed out to him. He then said, "Well, the chef likes to shuffle things around." If I could give zero stars to this restaurant I would. It was the worst dining experience in Houston, TX.

An Evening at Amalfi There are dinners, and then there are evenings that seem to have been arranged with a touch of magic. Our evening at Amalfi was just that. We dined in the private room, where the setting felt intimate and elegant, the wine flowed beautifully, and the choices seemed wonderfully endless. And then came my dish. Pasta, zucchini, and the most magnificent portions of octopus—tender, beautifully prepared, and so generous they nearly stole the evening. Muah. Some things require no more sophisticated a review. And the staff? Take a bow. Gracious, attentive, and wonderfully polished without ever hovering. That lovely old-fashioned art of hospitality—the kind that makes you feel not merely served, but genuinely looked after. From the atmosphere to the food to the pleasure of lingering around the table, Amalfi made dinner feel like an occasion. A little wine, a little magic, impeccable hospitality, and an octopus I shall remember quite fondly.

While the Italian dishes tasted great, the portion sizes were disappointing for what you pay. I left the restaurant feeling unsated. If you don't mind small servings for high prices, the flavor is there, but I expected more value.

We had a great business dinner at Amalfi. Adrian was wonderful to work with and went out of his way to help us plan the evening, including putting together the menu, accommodating our dietary preferences, and arranging a private room for our group. The food and wine were excellent, and the service was equally impressive. Everything was well organized, and our entire group had a great evening. Thank you to Adrian and the entire Amalfi team for taking such good care of us. We’ll definitely be back!

Amalfi’s offers authentic and delicious Italian cuisine served in a cozy ambiance. The salads were flavorful and delicious. The entree - Norwegian halibut was tasty but the portion was on the light side. The limoncello dessert was simply delectable. I can’t wait to return.

Was it expensive? Yes. Was it delicious? Hell yes. I know this is a delay review, but I will say they made the best damn risotto I've tasted. It was a halibut risotta that's not on menu for that day, and it was buttery, flavorful and creamy. I'd drop big buck and drive the distance again if I have a craving strong enough

This place has a nice atmosphere and great Italian dishes. I will return to have more of their nice dishes. I tried the grilled octopus and the pistaccio raviolli and they were well cooked. A nice gem in Houston for an Italian gem .

I think this place is great, it feels genuinely Italian. However, it can get very loud on a Friday/Saturday evening, and unfortunately had a bad experience the last time I ordered gluten free pasta. The taste of my dish was great but the texture of the pasta was clearly overcooked.

My first visit to the restaurant was enjoyable. The food taste was like real Italian food that I experienced in Italy. Service was extremely good and professional. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and food ingredients. The place was little small and ambiance was not as good as the food and the service. I highly recommend this place if you want to taste Italian food.
