We LOVE Oporto. It was packed so close to Christmas, but we had reservations! Our waiter was very patient without, as we arrived at separate times! Shaw always greets us warmly! I had the avocado and Salmon Tartare and the artichoke and spinach tapas! The best! My husband had his usual skirt steak . I had wine from Portugal and Spain! We chose valet parking.

I am a little late in posting my fabulous review. We attended their 10 year anniversary last Sunday. There were complications regarding our reservations, however we ended up sitting inside for the festivities. It turned out to be absolutely perfect. There were 4 of us and they treated us like family. Rick said he would take care of us and did. Victor was so attentive and was never far away. Every employee was attentive. It was such an enjoyable evening. We have followed Rick and Shiva over the years ( actually since 2006) and have enjoyed and appreciated all their restaurants and the attention to food quality. So thank you for everything and we are looking forward to many more years and memories!

Came here to celebrate our one year anniversary, it was a very intimate and delicious spot.

This delectable restaurant serves Tapas aka appetizers.

We ordered six different dishes but I would say the lamb ribs and charred veggies stole the show. Also, highly recommend the passion fruit mocktail!

Came here for my birthday. Coincidentally, went to De Gama last year who is their sister restaurant. Food was incredible.

Been wanting to come here for a while since my abroad trip to Portugal.
Made reservations and noted the special occasion. Oddly, we were seated next to the bathroom and in a crowded “work function?” Towards the back of the restaurant. Not even sure why I make reservations anywhere, anymore.

I want to try the squid ink rice next! The octopus was really good but the mussels.. man let me tell you. Order a nice white or green wine and have that with sour dough bread. Chefs kiss 😘

This is such a fantastic spot for a great happy hour!

Just a heads up on parking! Oporto offers valet but they also have a garage where you can validate your parking but it's about a 5 minute walk from there to the restaurant. When filling out the parking payment on your phone, don't feel scared to put your credit card info in because after it has 'processed your payment', it will ask you for the restaurant's validation code and the server will provide it for you. But definitely don't forget to pay as soon as you park (or at least within 10-20 minutes) because my friend got a boot on her car.

Okay back to the review!
The interior feels cozy and is decorated well (the bathrooms are also very nice)! I made reservations for 5 people on Friday at 5:00 pm for their Happy Hour which ends at 6:30.
We ordered the Avocado & Salmon Tartine, Berinjelas, Lulas Fritas, Grilled Chorizo & Romesco, Piri Piri Chicken Wings, and Prego Baguette.
Everything we had was absolutely delicious but the crowd favorite were the:
- Lulas Fritas
You would think the squid is the main star of the show (and it was fantastic) but honestly, the grilled baguette was perfection
- Piri Piri Chicken Wings
The exterior wasn't crunchy enough for my liking but the chicken was moist and the tomato piri piri sauce was delicious
- Grilled Chorizo & Romesco
This was my personal favorite. The char on these Spanish-style sausages were incredible. Rich in flavor and paired with the acidity from the tomato sauce, it was *chef's kiss*
- Berinjelas
○ Great vegetarian option! The description says eggplant salad but it's more of a spread for the naan. Tasted refreshing and I enjoyed the charmoula marinade
- Avocado & Salmon Tartine
○ Taste-wise, everything was fine but I don't think I'd go out of my way to order this again
- Prego Baguette
○ Delicious but the portion is quite small. If you're ordering this for yourself, not a bad idea but since I had a party of 5, it wasn't exactly the best dish to get. The fries were great to share though!

Other than the food, we also had several carafe's of the Sangria Oporto which was delicious. Aside from the delicious food and drinks, our waiter was fantastic and I cannot wait to come back!

Probably the best dining experience we had in Houston. The food here is excellent.

Our favorite was the scallop risotto, octopus and the salted cod croquettes. The octopus was so tender and was seasoned perfectly.

As a family of four, we shared 7 plates with two desserts which was plenty.

For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu and banana pudding. Would recommend both, but the banana pudding was superb.

The ice cream flavors sounded very creative so would definitely want to come back to try those, as well as the lamb and seafood curry.

Absolutely delicious, portion sizes were a little larger than prior visits. Ordered lamb ribs, scallops (2 per order, ordered extra scallop), seafood curry, shrimp and focaccia bread. The early dinner slots (5:00-6:30 pm) are usually easy to reserve a table and receive great service. We have tried 70% of the tapas menu but always stick with our favorites noted above.
