The restaurant immediately takes you to deepest India. The entire interior exudes a warm and authentic atmosphere. The service is quick and attentive. We had the tasting menu and were very enthusiastic about the variety of spices, colors and the great aromas of the dishes. The tasting menu is definitely recommended for getting to know each other. However, it must be booked in advance when making the reservation.A little thing bothered me. The room temperature was set a little too low. Upon request, the temperature was then adjusted slightly upwards. However, it may be worth bringing your own blanket if you get cold easily.

A unique dining experience with excellent food and great service! The dal, mishti doi, and beef vindaloo were the best versions of the dishes I have ever had. Good for the food and the ambiance. Some of the cocktails were too fragrant. The paan cocktail was interesting but a but much unless you love paan. Rebirth was really good. The sandalwood infused old fashioned was okay.

Everything was great, although in my opinion a bit gimmicky. The flavors were great in both the drinks and food. I came here on Christmas Day for my birthday and since I told them they did give me a great tasting complimentary glass of champagne. The only thing that was a little bit disappointing was the way that they placed my leftovers to take home. One of my desserts (Mishti Doi) was placed in a plastic container and I didn’t have a problem with it, except for the way it was mixed up - it wasn’t the same. The attentive server did let me know this before she took my remaining dessert to be wrapped up, but I had no choice. But, I also suggested taking a spatula to get the dessert onto a flat surface such as a wider plastic or styrofoam container that opens from the side. I guess that wasn’t an option because of the restaurant’s preferences. So, I also realized hours later when I got home that she did not put the remaining yogurt mushroom stems that I saved from the Mishti Doi dessert in the container either. I did want to enjoy those later. At this point, I am not sure if they threw those away because maybe the ingredients harden if not consumed immediately. Sometimes, I wish I could just wrap up my food myself. This has been a learning lesson. But I did enjoy the food overall. But next time I’m going to insist even at a fancy restaurant that I wrap my leftovers to go myself, especially if the dessert is $25.

I recently dined at Musaafer, a Michelin-starred Indian restaurant, and while the experience had its high points, it left me with mixed feelings overall. The decor was absolutely stunning and one of the highlights of the evening. It beautifully showcased Indian culture from the past, with authentic and thoughtful design elements that truly stood out. It felt like stepping into a space where history and modern elegance met—a perfect atmosphere for a Sunday dinner or a weekend gathering with friends. When it came to the food, the presentation was impressive, but the flavors lacked the authenticity I had hoped for. I’m used to being asked about spice levels at Indian restaurants, but here, it seemed like there was only one standard level, which didn’t fully capture the complexity of Indian spices. However, the mango drink was delightful—refreshing and perfectly crafted. And the dessert? Absolutely mind-blowing! It was a standout moment of the meal and something I’d definitely return for. While the food didn’t completely meet my expectations in terms of flavor and spice, the ambiance, decor, and a couple of standout items made the experience worthwhile.

Had the pleasure of having JP and Sarah as our servers during my company’s holiday dinner. They were extremely attentive and knowledgeable throughout our dinner. Food was amazing, service was excellent and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an upscale dining experience. Every dish was cooked to perfection. Will be back!

We had an amazing evening! We chose Mussafer Houston for our Holiday venue. They did an amazing job with the service, food, and the ambience. Extremely beautiful and elegant restaurant. Great photo opportunity from the balcony. One of the servers actually took the time to take photos for many of us from the balcony. I wish I got her name. The servers and bartenders were exceptionally friendly and efficient. I can’t wait to go back again.

We did the chef’s tasting menu because of the Michelin Star Rating. It was really neat. We hadn’t ever done anything like that before and wanted to see some quality Michelin Star dishes in person. It was definitely an experience. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was very inviting, it felt like you were going to another place when you walk in. We sat outside and it was just perfect. I really loved the booths with the canopy, very intimate. If you are doing the experience, make sure you allow for a long time, we were there from 6:30 to 10:30 eating. It was so much food! While it was delicious and fun to look at and try, it was very expensive and we were full by the time what we consider “real food” came out. This is not the fault of the restaurant but the fault of our inexperience. The server did an amazing job explaining all the food, where it came from, and how to eat it. My review is coming from a working class perspective so for many of you going to this restaurant the prices may not be an issue. But if you are working class / blue collar like me and enjoy food and experiences I would go for a regular meal rather than the experience. The food, service, and atmosphere are exceptional on its own so you don’t need the added expense of the experience menu. Highly recommend.
