We came in on a late Monday evening, and our server was Iris, who was an exceptional server. She explained the menu thoroughly, checked up on us multiple times, refilled our waters constantly. Overall, was attentive and made our first experience so much better. Would recommend Iris to anyone who comes here! Food quality was still good even though it was later in the evening.

I have been seeing so many videos in INSTAGRAM about this restaurant. So my friend and I decided to try. I like food quality here. Great taste! I hope we didn't rush to finish our dinner in 1.5 hrs. Lolll , yes, all you can eat in 1.5 hrs. I wish I could enjoy more time order by their menu not to rush because of all you can eat🤭. I registered my membership because I love Wagyu. Come back soon. All servers are awesome! 5/5.

Exceptional Hot Pot Experience at Mikiya Wagyu Shabu HouseIf you’re searching for an unforgettable hot pot experience in Houston, look no further than Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House, located at 9896 Bellaire Blvd, Suite A, in Houston's Chinatown. Open daily from 11 a.m., with extended hours until midnight on weekdays and 2 a.m. on weekends, it’s perfect for both lunch and late-night cravings.Menu and OfferingsMikiya Wagyu Shabu House features a tiered all-you-can-eat (AYCE) menu, with options ranging from $38 to $88 per person. Each tier offers increasingly premium cuts of meat, including American and Australian Wagyu. We opted for the top-tier $88 option, which includes unlimited Japanese A5 Wagyu cuts like shoulder, brisket, and ribeye. The quality was outstanding — the meat practically melts in your mouth.A well-stocked salad bar at the back enhances the meal, loaded with fresh vegetables, noodles, and sides to customize your hot pot. The restaurant also takes pride in its expertly crafted broths, each delivering rich, savory flavors that perfectly complement the high-quality ingredients.Exceptional ServiceWhile the food was phenomenal, what made our visit truly memorable was the exceptional service provided by our server, Duy (pronounced Dewey). He was knowledgeable and attentive and made excellent recommendations throughout the evening. His suggestion for the broth created the perfect flavor balance, and he also recommended a sake that paired beautifully with our meal.Duy kept our orders coming without us ever needing to ask. His timing was impeccable, and he maintained a perfect balance of attentiveness without being overbearing. His exceptional service elevated the dining experience, making this visit one of the best hot pot meals ever. For anyone seeking an elevated hot pot experience in Houston, Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House should be at the top of your list. From the mouthwatering A5 Wagyu and perfectly crafted broths to the fresh ingredients and exceptional service, every aspect of the meal was flawless. When you visit, be sure to ask for Duy—trust me, you won’t be disappointed! What more could you ask for great food, stellar service, and a welcoming atmosphere?

I went here early on a Saturday. The place gets filled up very quick once it opens. There are three tiers of menus to choose from in ascending order by price. I chose the diamond level ($88) as it includes everything from the lower ones. I chose it for several reasons, namely it had featured all the A5 wagyu and I wanted to leave the restaurant with no regrets.Drinks are included with the mealI proceeded to the cold bar, it was located in the back corner where it was difficult to move and people to turn over. Someone was taking their sweet time ( 2-3 min) over the curry. Not everything was ready when I went to the bar. I missed out on the minced beef topping as I was already getting full by the time it was sent out.A couple quick thoughts:Their is only one induction burner per tableBroth is typical Japanese selections, ( no tom yum, or szechwan hot soups here)Bone marrow was fine, broiled but not much flavorThe wasabi octopus and the hot clams in the cold bar were excellent. I wish they could have refilled them more often.Loved the grilled shrimp, peeled and slightly cooked. Dont eat if you don't like it slimySteak Tartare was very good, a must try.Wagyu sushi was excellent. The cold seafood platter can be customized to what you want and what you can exclude. You can ask more of a certain item if you desire. As for the wagyu, it was as advertised. It was very tender and fatty. If you paid for the diamond tier stick with the Japan A5. You are paying for it.For those who don't know what eating it tastes like, think of gristle, but with fleshy texture. That is the best way to describe it.Overall with the solid service and high quality food, I would go back but not very often. I say that the food will get tiresome to me very quickly (seasoning is very conservative), and it is pricey. However it is a good place to treat yourself if you have the money.

the wait is pretty long (1h+) on the weekends but there is a queue system you can use via yelp. past this annoying step, the experience is pretty awesome, food is great, service is great, restroom is fairly clean. if you love wagyu beef meat, and want to taste the different types of breeds it is a pretty fun experience

When we went to Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House, we were not expecting much at first. Immediately after we walked in there was a change of heart. The environment and the setting of the restaurant is very fitting and I felt really comfortable. The servers were also very kind and very patient with us. The food was very fresh and we fell in love with the different types of delicious wagyu. It had a really good texture and the soup base made it ten times better. I also loved how there were many kinds of vegetables and toppings. This restaurant will become the jewel of Chinatown and everyone has to try it.
