    What makes it fun

Mao's Bakery is a great spot for a casual date with your pastry loving sweetheart. The ambiance is relaxed with wood accents, a vibrant blue wall, and warm lighting. The menu is overflowing with pastries, sandwiches, cookies, and more. Head to Mao's hungry because you will want to make sure to try the cachito, burnt cheesecake, guava & cheese hojaldre. Really though, whatever you pick will be delicious so grab a bunch of items and share them with your sweetheart.

Very cozy bakery with a varied offering of cachitos, ham bread and empanadas, a real corner of Venezuela in Houston, be sure to have the bonbon coffee and the natural Panchita juice

Very nice and clean place with good home style food. The girl on the counter was very courteous and took time to explain the different items they have as this is the first time for me and my wife there.

I love this place. I ordered a latte, cachito with turkey and cream cheese, and pastelito de hojaldre with chicken and another with ground beef. I also tried their passion fruit tres leches. All of the food was sooo yummy and delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful. The environment was so peaceful, me and my husband sat with our lattes on the couch and chatted for a good hour. I highly recommend this place

    Gorgeous quaint bakery.
I ordered 2 TGTG bags. It's about 35 mins away from home, but I was excited about it. AND a coworker saw the chocolate cake with dulce de leche!
Completely worth the long drive on a Friday evening.
The ham in the kolaches were delicately diced and succulent. So yummy I wanted to inhale it and savor it simultaneously.
The others look wonderful and smells devine.
I'm reminded of that country song, "I like it! I love it! I want some more of it!"

This place is truly a gem! The service was outstanding. The young lady took her time showing us everything and answering our questions. She was super friendly.

Everything we ordered was amazing. I had a vanilla lavender cappuccino that the lady came up with on the spot. I told her the flavors I wanted and she whipped it up. My husband had the brownie milkshake and he loved it. We had 3 different types of cookies. The triple chocolate cookie with Nutella filling was to die for. We also had macaroons, chocolate cake, pineapple cake, and lemon pound cake. We tried so many things because we just couldn’t decide on what to get. We will be back for breakfast this weekend. Next on my list to try is the Mao coffee and the tres leches. This is going to be our new spot.

Just outstanding and delicious!! A must try!
