My friends and I picked out the restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend. From arrival till the end, everything was terrific. Our reservation was intact, and the valet was friendly and patient as I exited my car. Upon arriving, I was served a complimentary glass of Perccico. As I made my way to my table, I noticed the open concept, the small touches, and the patio was a must in the Spring. Our small group of 4 was sat in a place where we could see but not be disturbed if we didn't want to be. Juan was our service, had a lovely disposition, and was friendly and attentive.  We started with a hot and spicy cauliflower bowl and the truffle fries. They came out hot and fresh and were delicious. Our fourth guest was late and said she was going to turn around. Juan checked on us while we waited on our friend. We ordered our food. After sitting in traffic on Westheimer for over 35 minutes, we waited for another lady to join us. As she sat down, our food came out of the kitchen. I had the crab cake and the house salad. The plate presentation for the crab cake was beautiful, and the crab cake was a nice-sized portion and was tasty.
When our friend arrived, she wasn't offered a glass of Perccico, so I stopped a young man (Kevyn). This is where the meal turned into a fun, cold holiday night. Kevyn stops, and I guess he could tell that I give as good as I get, but in a fun way. I asked, "Excuse me, do you work here? He said, "No," I began apologizing, and he responded yes, I do. I explained about a friend, and he went to grab a drink. I found out later that he is the bartender, and I plan on returning and sitting at the bar. Kevyn was very personable, helpful, and a pleasant and informative man overall. Juan kept a small on his face and took care of our friend in a quick matter.
After we finished, we walked by the kitchen and were greeted by Daniel (the manager in the suit). We spoke to him and said everything was great and we would be back. He took our pic.
