From start to finish, Eddie V’s exceeded all expectations, offering not only top-tier food but exceptional service. Out of all the steakhouses in Houston that my wife and I have been to this year, this one takes the cake.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and our waiter was knowledgeable about both the steak and seafood menus, providing great recommendations. The ambiance was just right—elegant but comfortable, making it perfect for both casual and special occasions. We wanted a private booth and we got just that.
Equally impressive was the seafood. The lobster tail was cooked to perfection—sweet, succulent, and tender, with a rich, buttery flavor that needed no adornment. The scallops were equally outstanding—seared to a golden brown, with a delicate, slightly sweet flavor that paired beautifully with a light citrus sauce. The entire seafood tower and caviar were just excellent. Not a single item fell short. The crab cake was an actual jumbo crab cake with crab and little breading unlike most places and it tasted delectable.
The lobster tacos were delicious. If you love seafood, this place does it justice.
The crab fried rice were equally delicious and thoughtfully prepared, making it an excellent accompaniment to both the steak and seafood.
I do feel like the lobster bisque was while good it could have had more pronounced lobster taste.
The banana foster butter cake was delicious and not overly sweet. Couldn’t forget about the Golden Hour cocktail. Wow, will definitely be back for another.
Overall, Eddie V’s is a true gem. The combination of perfectly executed steaks, high-quality seafood, and impeccable service makes it one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. It’s our favorite so far this year out of the dozen steakhouses in Houston we’ve been to and service has been the best as well. Brandon exceeded the bar. Whether you’re in the mood for a juicy steak or fresh lobster, this place delivers. Highly recommended.
