Warm spinach salad it is delish!! Unique & well balanced.
The grilled chicken was dissapointing, the pasta with bolognese wasn't very impressive - Cheesecake factory has better, the house pasta was so-so.. and the peperoni pizza was 4 out 5, too much peperoni overwhelming the taste of the other ingredients. Not a lot of choise of beer, but cocktails are real deal! Service is excellent too!

Interesting, well prepared dishes - we enjoyed the fried oysters; charred broccoli with pancetta, pickled peppers, & smoked mozzarella pizza, and finished with the grilled celery root steak with fermented shallots, gold potatoes and an outstanding mushroom reduction. Far too often we leave a restaurant saying, "well, that was disappointing." No so at Coltivare. Definitely on our favorite Houston restaurants list.

Okay, how have I not been here before? What a neat joint that is much more than just a pizza bistro? Simple, lively space, and our service was helpful and friendly. Bar has some original craft offerings that add to the uniqueness of their compact menu. Everyone loved their pizza as the ingredients were solid. I tried the stuffed house pasta and enjoyed the light, savory broth to pair with the perfect cauliflower for sharing. Will be back to dine at the bar and explore more of everything! Parking is a bit tight in this area so recommend ride share on peak evenings. Bring a friend to share multiple offerings.

The Cacio e pepi is authentic Italian and the fettuccini with clams was excellent. The faccacio bread was amazing too

High end experience at a mid range price. Food was wonderful and the staff were knowledgeable and attentive. It's busy for a reason, so make sure you get your reservations in advance.

My wife & I finished a Christmas program and found Coltivare through our phone search. Upon entry, it was cozy & warm as David (manager) kindly greeted us. With a little wait, we were seated… Jose served us this evening and had GREAT suggestions to the menu. With his suggestion, we tried the Chicken Prosciutto Pizza BUT added Burrata cheese. We also ordered the Trout Dip which was a fairly new menu item. With very little wait, we started with the trout dip and it was FANTASTIC! Light and fresh and a great starter. Not too much later, we got our “special” pizza - WOW! The balance of savory flavors with the added cheese was AMAZING!!! We finished the evening with their popular rum cake dessert - YUM! Though the food was spectacular, it was not the star(s) of the dinner. It was the level of service and attention from David & Jose. Jose was always on point with timing on drink refills and ensuring our food was perfect. David constantly scans the restaurant and his attentiveness to all customers was noticed by us & other tables with the fine details & quality assurance. Needless to say, we will be visiting and sharing this place often. We highly recommend Coltivare and make sure you ask for David & Jose - they got you covered…

If there’s one thing you have to try at Coltivare, it’s the dessert—absolute perfection! While I haven’t had a chance to sample the rest of the menu yet, if the dessert is any indication, the food here must be incredible. Trust me, even if you just pop in for a sweet treat at the bar, it’s worth the trip.

The staff truly sets this place apart. They’re friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaged with the guests. We sat at the bar and watched them go above and beyond—chatting with customers, ensuring service was on point, and crafting amazing drinks. One of the bartenders even shared a personal tip to make our dessert experience even better and gave us thoughtful recommendations for food to try next time.

While it’s definitely on the pricier side, the quality of the experience makes it worth it. I’ll absolutely be back and can’t wait to explore the full menu. If you’re looking for a place with great vibes and unforgettable desserts, Coltivare should be at the top of your list.

Love this place! I’ve been coming here since they opened almost a decade ago and every dish I’ve tried so far has been excellent. They have a great cocktail and mocktail menu as well. Parking can be a pain but I’ve always been able to find parking in the neighborhood nearby or across the street.

We had a very good experience at Coltivare. The food was truly excellent. Our orders of spaghetti, meatballs, grilled chicken, and roasted cauliflower were all expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. And the crostata for dessert was a good recommendation by our waiter.

The atmosphere was lively and vibrant, with a high energy that added to the excitement of our meal. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and provided great service throughout the evening.

Overall, Coltivare is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious Italian cuisine and a fun, energetic dining experience.
