I got the vegetarian enchiladas and was quite impressed. Their vegetarian menu is quiet vast and offers a good selection of different items. The churros and hot chocolate dessert is to die for! I will definitely return to try other items.

Things that stood out during our evening out for my boyfriend’s dinner: coco rita and the queso flameado appetizer! Server was very friendly and welcoming. Lighting is very nice inside, but the tables were close together in the area where we were in, so chairs from the table behind us were right up against ours. Servers had a hard time getting around to give us food and drinks.

We visited on February 2nd, 2025. They had a brunch buffet. They said we didn't have a reservation so they put us outside even though the half place was empty. I didn't like to be seated , so I made a reservation ( right away!). We talked to the hostess, and she was like we have to wait anyway for reasons I didn't understand, so my husband asked to speak to the manager, and then she had a space for us. And they place us in the weirdest spot in the back of the restaurant by the wall on the half booth. Won't come back. Not recommended. Zero service.

Too many restaurants get 5 stars that don't really deserve them: this restaurant easily deserves 6 stars. It was over the top. It truly is one of the best venues in Houston. So much attention is poured into details from the physical setting to discerning gustatory embellishments on food choices that are not lost to a discriminating palate. You can't go wrong with any menu item. The Tres Leches and the Robalo con Mole Amarillo were so incredible that I was laughing/smiling through every bite!

Celebrated my fathers birthday here!! the food was awesome!! would highly recommend their tuna tostada and the squash soup!! also had their fresh oysters and the pulpo as my main course. my dad had the wonderful ahi tuna and my mom grilled striped bass!! our waitress, jennifer was wonderful! my mom has stage 3 kidney failure and jennifer made sure she got a dish that was low salt and appropriate for her diet! Jennifer went above and beyond to ask and check with the chef. kudos to her!! thank you Jennifer!!

Had been interested in the cuisine by chef Hugo for quite awhile , popped in this afternoon for lunch and everything we had was very good . Ordered chips and guac as an appetizer. The salsa came out tasting like they used fresh ingredients, seasoned well and even a bit spicy! Chips were using the blue tortillas they use and were thicker than a standard chip.

Got the 2 plates for 30 $ large enough portions for sharing, for the tuna tostadas and mussels . Both exceeded my expectations, very complex flavors, the tuna was savory and sweet with the fruit jam , avocado and fresh crema. The mussels came out in a green salsa that was made with pepian which is roasted pumpkin seeds. Spouse got the fish tacos , great crisp to the fish and chipotle mayo and queso fresco. Tortilla came out cold in my opinion. Great flavors to all dishes

Wish we have saved room for dessert.

I order a Spanish Tempranillo called finca resalso that had crisp berry notes and paired great with our food!

Beautiful place with valet, plenty of seating inside and outside. The waiter was very attentive and fast with our order. The food tasted delicious and fresh and the drinks were so flavorful. I didn't eat a whole meal just appetizers on happy hour but definitely want to come back to try more.

I had the pleasure of dining at Caracol during Restaurant Week, and it was an ok experience! The ambiance was lively and vibrant, setting the perfect tone for a girls lunch. I was happy to see they were also baby friendly. The Restaurant Week menu offered a great selection of dishes that showcased the best of Caracol’s cuisine.

Props to the chef. We liked the food. We started with the ceviche, empanadas, fish tacos, and tuna which was fresh and bursting with flavor—a true highlight of the meal. For the main course, I opted for the elote soup, chili relleno and steak which was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The accompanying sides complemented the dish wonderfully, adding depth and texture to the plate.

The dessert was a delightful ending to the meal—a decadent and rich tres leches cake that was just sweet enough without being overwhelming and the chocolate ball was fun but not edible.

Service was friendly but sketchy. The waiter gave us free items in hopes of a big tip! They also
    Forgot our oysters we ordered.

Other than the weird service Caracol made Restaurant Week special, offering an outstanding food experience.

It was our first time dining at Caracol and we had a fantastic experience. Steve was absolutely top notch and took amazing care of our table. The food was incredible! All around 10/10.

I occasionally visit this place for oysters. Both raw and baked oysters are the best in town! My friends had an amazing experience as well, and we all loved how drinks and food come out quickly as we ordered. This place isn’t cheap if you are a heavy cocktail drinker, but definitely meet its quality. Must try!
